Air Vents and Breakfast…AKA Super Secret Treasure Troves and Messy Faces

I don’t know what it is about the air vents…but the boys are fascinated with them. They love putting random stuff in there. Maybe its the ‘ping’? Maybe its the possibility of the items going to a place unknown? Narnia? Albion? Hyrule? Middle Earth? Maybe they think its like in Nemo and all drains lead to the ocean, only this is an air vent so maybe it leads to space? Who knows. Anyways, I find some very interesting stuff in there when I do my periodic clean outs. Here are the results of this weeks vent clean up.

The usual: Legos, cars, golf balls, random toys

Then I made french toast for the boys with blueberry sauce. It was a big hit! Pretty easy too. Basic french toast. Eggs, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg for the mix. Sourdough bread. Dip, and fry w butter. For the sauce, about a cup of frozen blueberries, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon corn starch. 1/4 cup water. Heat in a sauce pan for about 7 minutes and then pour on top. They loooooooved it!
